Alexander Abreu Manresa is a singer, songwriter, arranger and trumpet player born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, on September 6, 1976. He is one of the most renowned modern Cuban musicians having been active on the island’s musical scene since he graduated from Havana’s prestigious Escuela Nacional de Arte (National Art School) in 1994. His musical career has seen a fascinating musical fusion of salsa, jazz, funk and afro-Cuban together with his expressive, poetic lyrics about Cuba and the Cuban people.
Havana D’Primera is a Cuban timba band directed and founded by Alexander Abreu in 2007. They are widely recognized as one of the most popular bands to emerge in Cuba in the last decade and their leader is considered one of the most versatile Cuban musicians who throughout his career has created a fascinating musical fusion of salsa, jazz, funk and Afro-Cuban.

The three-time Tropicana World Open Salsa Champion, choreographer Yanet known from TV and film, travels the world teaching and performing and has also worked with artists including Alicia Keys, Shakira or Craig David.
