Francisco David Rosero Serna, known artistically as Nanpa Básico, was born on April 8, 1993, in Medellín, Colombia. He has established himself as one of the most influential figures in Latin American rap. His honest lyrics—full of introspection, sensitivity, and social commentary—have marked a turning point in independent urban music, taking his message from the streets of Colombia to some of the most prominent stages around the world.

With 12 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 4 million subscribers on YouTube, Nanpa has built a loyal and growing fanbase that supports each of his releases. Throughout his career, he has released nine studio albums, including standout projects like Hecho M13RD4 and his latest work, DUELO (2024)—a deeply emotional album that blends hip-hop with Latin sounds and features collaborations with artists such as Kany García, Beéle, and Lia Kali. He has also worked with major names like Gera MX, Santa Fe Klan, Charles Ans, Kapo, Ivy Queen, Ryan Castro, Apache, Nach, and HA*ASH, showcasing his versatility.

The single Hasta Aquí Llegué, in collaboration with Beéle, has become one of the biggest recent hits in Colombian pop: it debuted in Spotify Colombia’s Top 100 and reached the #1 spot on VEVO’s YouTube trending chart with its official video. Currently, it remains in Spotify Colombia’s Top 10, has accumulated over 210 million streams, and has inspired more than 700,000 TikTok creations—solidifying the reach and relevance of his artistic vision.

Nanpa’s talent has led him to perform at international festivals such as Coachella and tour cities including Los Angeles, Miami, Denver, Chicago, New York, Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Mexico City, and Medellín. He recently announced two shows at Bogotá’s Movistar Arena, both selling out within hours, cementing his status as one of the country’s most significant artists. He stands not only as a pillar of Spanish-language rap but also as a leading figure of Colombia’s new urban pop scene.
