Chaos in the CBD are set to make their long awaited return to the Capital this Autumn for an all night long extravaganza at iconic South London institution, Electric Brixton. Arguably the greatest underground dance music duo out of New Zealand, brothers Louis and Beans have taken the world by storm since they got started just over a decade ago. Their productions are rooted in soulful house and techno, evolving over the years to become more dubby and gritty – encapsulated by their impeccable label’s name ‘In Dust We Trust’. Having released on numerous other imprints from around the globe, they really made a splash after a chance meeting with Peckham-mainstay Bradley Zero, who subsequently released their 4-tracker ‘Midnight in Peckham’ on his iconic Rhythm Section label. This record, particularly the title track, became the soundtrack to hundreds, if not thousands of closing sets and after-parties, its nostalgic tone and haunting trumpet line – courtesy of Isaac Aesili – living long in the memory of ravers from London and beyond. While their studio output is usually stripped back and understated, the brothers’ club sets are a different beast entirely. Slinky, bass-driven house rhythms with propulsive percussion and rapturous vocals fill the floor, leaving crowds with the unavoidable need to move their bodies. The duo’s flawless mixing and strong grasp of dance music history always make their sets something special, especially in an extended capacity, so we thought it was only right to have them down for their first all night excursion since 2021, and certainly at the most impressive venue thus far. Electric Brixton will see the pair play for [insert timings], allowing punters to immerse themselves in their unmatched selections within one of London’s most iconic venues.
